Prime Minister will appoint the new Army Chief in November, defense minister

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will appoint a new army chief in November as per the constitution Pakistan.

While holding a news conference in the federal capital, Khawaja Asif said what difference does Imran Khan's words make?

The Prime Minister will fulfil a constitutional obligation in November by appointing the Army Chief. Also fulfilling this constitutional obligation four times was Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif has never made the appointment of Army Chief a subject of discussion.

Khawaja Asif said that there will be politics in the time of politics, when the elections will be held and the field will be decorated, there will be politics too. He said that politics can be kept aside

Criticizing former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Defense Minister said that the addiction to power is breaking which is haunting him and in this situation he is saying things that should not be said.

Imran Khan, according to him, wants to stir up controversy over the choice of the army chief. Imran Khan is attempting to stop Pakistan from receiving relief for the victims of the flood. To gain power, Imran Khan is hurting Pakistan.

The national security of Pakistan, according to the defence minister, is correlated to our financial stability. Imran Khan frequently criticised Pakistan's national and economic security. They have lost their mental equilibrium because of the lack of power.

To a question, the Defense Minister said that the decisions of the courts are important sources of law. Past decisions should be kept in front. If the past decisions are not in accordance with the law and the constitution, it should be corrected.
