Terrible accident to Indian passenger plane at Oman airport

Muscat: Suddenly, an engine from the Indian airline Air India Express caught fire at the airport in Oman's capital city. Then the passengers had to be removed off the aircraft.


The passenger aircraft of the Indian Airlines firm, which was about to take off from Muscat, the capital of Oman, to the Indian city of Kochi, reportedly caught fire abruptly. The runway was covered in smoke, and aviation officials were rushing.

As soon as the passengers were removed from the aircraft, the airport staff moved them to a safe location and dialled the fire department. The fire broke out in the engine, which was quickly brought under control.

There were 141 people in the plane. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the accident, but some passengers suffered minor injuries. They were given medical assistance at the airport. The passengers were sent to another plane.

The origin of the engine fire is still unknown. A committee was established by aviation and the airline to look into the occurrence.
