In the final of the Sri Lankan Premier League, Jaffna Stallins defeated their rival Gladiators by 53 runs.
It may be recalled that Shahid Afridi, a former captain of the national team and a representative of the Gal Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League, had returned to Pakistan after leaving the matches of the Lanka Premier League.
In a message released on the social networking site Twitter, Shahid Afridi had said that he had to go home immediately due to personal reasons. He said that he will soon join his team in the Lanka Premier League. However, Shahid Afridi could not join his team.
